The center of everything. The water comes from inside the Cap and they say it was what woke the portals.
The town that grew on a mushroom · Region: Vale
Micélia sits on top of the Great Cap, a petrified mushroom the size of a hill in the middle of the Vale. Nobody knows who built the first house on it; what is known is that the plaza fountain never ran dry and the portals around it were not opened by human hands.
The portals are threads of the mycelium, the mushroom's roots, which spread under the Vale and end where the land turned strange: the Elemental Den, the Scorching Ruins, the Frozen Cave, the Howling Grove. Whoever crosses a portal does not walk there; the thread carries them. That is why the rooms are two steps from the plaza and days of travel away at the same time.
The town lives off it. The Smith sharpens what the portals send back, the Shop and the Market sell what the bosses drop, the Tavern cooks what the Vale Farm harvests, and the Storage keeps the rest. Whoever arrives by the road does not need much: a team of two, one element each, and the will to combine them.
Lately the marsh south of the Cap has started to bubble. Furihog, the toad children draw on the walls, has woken up. Nobody from Micélia goes down there alone.

Poison
Furihog slept at the bottom of the marsh since before Micélia existed. The mycelium went around the marsh on purpose; no thread reached it. When the fountain overflowed for the first time in living memory, the marsh bubbled and a portal opened by itself. He chases no one. He does not need to: he spits farther than any bow reaches.
Level 40 minimum, and bring company. Metal corrodes his skin, so a metal Warrior or Squire is worth gold; the Black Mangrove chain (poison, water, nature, sand) is the biggest damage there is against him, if the group can build it.
